Do-It-Yourself Card FountainWho wants a Card Fountain? You do if: You work with a puppet; You perform the Snake in the Basket effect; You use a Card Sword or Card Flyswatter or Card Parasol. Alphabet cards can fly into the air before spelling out a chosen word on a ribbon stretched across the stage. Any cards can be made to fly with small adaptations to the original card fountain design, such as baseball trading cards (or other sports cards), business cards, even a collection of small photographs. You just like to make a mess. Battery operated.Note: As with all the other items on this page, this is an e-Book of instructions for building the effect, and not the actual prop itself. Fan BoxThe Fan Box should not be confused with Snowstorm in China. This is more like a Flurry from when Hell Freezes Over. You offer to show the audience what magicians used to protect their private secret papers in the days before paper shredders. You wind up a pair of chattering teeth and drop them into an empty box. Then you drop in a piece of paper and instantly the teeth go to work and shreds and bits of paper begin to fly out of the box and into the air. You can also use this with a bunny (or other) puppet in a hat who decides to tear up his contract, etc. You'll find lots of hilarious uses for this prop, from destroying dollar bills lent to you from the audience, to accidentally chewing up a birthday card that you now have to restore by magic... if you and the audience can collect all the little pieces. Battery operated.Note: As with all the other items on this page, this is an e-Book of instructions for building the effect, and not the actual prop itself. You make the device following Chris' photos and instructions and get the parts from sources suggested by Chris. |

Remote AnythingsYou can turn any battery operated animated toy into a secretly radio controlled toy that will turn on and turn off when YOU command them. Find the moving or laughing toy at your local toyshop (or on-line from a variety of sources we suggest) and then use it to make comments on your magic act, or indicate which card was chosen, or move around whenever you aren't looking and stop when you look... all of which are hilariously funny uses for these toys to your audience of ages six to sixty. The technique can also be applied to the above Card Fountain or Fan Box so they can be radio controlled as well.Note: As with all the other items on this page, this is an e-Book of instructions for building the effect, and not the actual prop itself. You make the device following Chris' photos and instructions and get the parts from sources suggested by Chris. |
