The Kompressed King

This effect, based on the illusion “Compressed,” is the antithesis of “Jack B. Nimble.”

The Effect:

The performer removes the King of Hearts from a deck of cards.  The spectator may examine the card.  The King is then sandwiched between two more cards.  Both ends are squeezed, visibly compressing the King, until it disappears completely inside the other cards. 

The cards are separated to reveal that the King has actually been reduced in size.  Not only is the card smaller, but the image itself shows that the King has been “squashed.”  This card can then be given away as a unique souvenir.
